BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS, SELLING SOLUTIONS SINCE 1986
Target: Cable (Location), Pipes (Metal Gas, Metal Water), Telecoms, Electrical
The latest range of Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT) and Signal Generator (Genny), pioneered by Radiodetection.
C.A.T4® and Genny4® products provide a comprehensive range of Cable Avoidance Tools helping professionals to drive best locating practice, to reduce the number of cable strikes, and to dig more safely.
C.A.T4
The C.A.T4 is the standard model of the range. Using it with the Genny4 transmitter, experienced operators will be able to find more buried utilities, faster.
C.A.T4+
The C.A.T4+ offers the same locating performance as the C.A.T4 but with addition of Depth measurement, allowing better identification of the route of buried utilities.
This model adds GPS position to the usage data recorded. Bluetooth connectivity allows seamless transfer of usage data to the C.A.T Manager Online cloud based system for near real-time monitoring of operators’ performance.
C.A.T Manager is a software suite designed to offer online or local analysis of usage behaviours, explore surveyed locations using Google Maps, and produce surveys and usage reports. Data can be exported and shared as KML or CSV files.
C.A.T Manager Online for Android or iOS links your gC.A.T4 to the Radiodetection C.A.T Manager online secure cloud.
Recording what users actually do with Cable Avoidance Tools is a vital component of a quality management approach to prevent damage and harm related to excavation of buried cables and pipes. To facilitate this, Radiodetection’s gC.A.T4 records key parameters every second, and stores them in non-volatile memory. The data collected can be subsequently analysed using our PC application.
For customers with a fleet of CATs the problem has been to manage and analyse the data from all these devices quickly, simply and accurately. This problem is solved with the release of the new C.A.T Manager Online service from Radiodetection. Use this Android or iOS app to automatically transfer data from gC.A.T4s to the Radiodetection secure cloud. See data from all your CATs in near real-time, and ensure that all your operators are using their gC.A.Ts correctly.
Use of the C.A.T Manager Online service requires agreement to a set of terms and conditions. Radiodetection makes no warranties of any kind, written or oral, statutory, express or implied, with respect to this app, including, any implied warranties or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose other than as set out in the C.A.T Manager Online terms and conditions. This app is designed for use by businesses that have professional, trained, operators for their Radiodetection gC.A.T4 devices. Older gC.A.T4 devices may require a firmware update to function with this app.

Target: Cable (Location, Depth), Pipes (Metal Gas, Metal Water), Telecoms, Electrical
Genny4’s patented simultaneous dual-frequency signal output facilitates location of small diameter cables such as telecoms and street lighting, including spurs. All C.A.T4 locator models have patented technology to detect both signals simultaneously. The power boost function in Genny4 enables the locate signal to travel further and deeper, and couple onto utilities more easily.

Target: Cable (Identification), Pipes (Location), Electrical (Sheath Faults, Shorts), Pipes (Metal Gas, Metal Water), Telecoms
The Precision Locate range of underground utility locators comprises: the fully-featured, multi-function RD8200 cable and pipe locator; the utility-specific RD7200 locator, the innovative RD7000M and RD8000M locators that combine the ability to find buried Markers with finding underground cables and pipes; and the single-frequency RD5000WL pipe locator for the water and gas industries. These locators must be used with our signal transmitters, TX-5 and TX-10, to achieve full performance. Plastic pipes, frequently used to carry water or gas, can be found by using our range of transmitting Sondes.
Built on over 40 years of underground cable and pipe locator innovation, our precision-manufactured antennas and advanced digital processing enable operators to accurately detect even the extremely small signals associated with difficult to locate underground utilities.
Locate and map buried utilities in a single operation
Mapping buried utilities has been a longstanding practice in the industry. Access to reliable maps plays a crucial role in safety & risk mitigation, preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.

GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) systems enable operators to detect underground utilities, particularly non-conductive pipes and ducts, using high-frequency Radar. When locating underground utilities, GPR can be a valuable complement to electromagnetic cable and pipe locators.
LMX150™ FINDAR® GPR complements
traditional pipe and cable locators and allows
you to locate targets below the surface.
